"Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goal." - Henry Ford

Today's thought of the day is brought to us by that innovator who gave us the Model T. I chose today's TOTD because it struck a chord with me. We have goals but sometimes these obstacles seem to appear out of nowhere! To me, an obstacle is a distraction that, at least in my own life, I create. Why would I create a distraction for myself? Believe me, its not intentional! Sometimes I focus too much on the end game and don't give enough thought to the journey that gets me there. So it stands to reason that distractions are sometimes there for a purpose, a way for us to refocus on what's really important and to give the journey that much more meaning and understanding. But we must beware that other times we have to make ourselves aware that we may be creating these distractions in response to a fear. Fear of the end result. Either way, we must take the chance to discover what our distraction is and why it has presented itself. If we ignore it, it might cause us to take an unwanted detour.

I guess what I'm saying is, keep your eyes on the prize but always take the time to enjoy the ride :)
